A residue reception facility has been installed in an area adjacent to the plant. This is a
retention basin that not only eliminates residues by settling but also supplies water to the
production process.
The long-term plan for tailings storage, particularly as production ramps up, is to utilize the
mining areas on the plateaus adjacent to the plants, once the manganese has been
extracted. A series of retention ponds, with a lifespan of 4 to 5 years, are being developed successively with embankment levels of up to 10 meters. Vegetation is being done on the slope of these tailings dams for better stability and these tailings dams are
continuously monitored and maintained by our in-house team with the help of third party expert/consultants.
